QVC- Feb 19th

It's QVC time again! Be sure to watch Memories Direct on QVC Feb 19th from 4-5pm ET to see these layouts featured. This time they have two great new products, paper flowers and epoxy buttons and brads. They are so easy to work with and come in wonderful colors.

The flowers can be stacked for a full look, folded and used on the edge of a page or picture, or used all by themselves with the brads included in the kit. I think they look great with buttons as centers and I also tried stacking different sizes. Since the flowers are made out of paper, they can be stamped, painted, and stapled. How cute would they be with painted polka dots? There are a bunch in the bag. I made all these layouts plus the ones above with one bag and I still have lots left over.

The epoxy buttons can also be stacked, cut, or used by themselves. I decided to punch holes in some of mine so I could loop string or ribbon through them like real buttons. The colors are great and match all kinds of layouts from bright back-to-school layouts to elegant black and white wedding layouts. They also look great with the paper flowers!

Memories Direct acrylic stamps

The second product that I'm working with are acrylic stamps. They come with an acrylic block and a nice selection of inks, so all the basic colors are covered. On the first layout, I used the word stamps to make a border near the bottom and decorated the monogram.

I also used a stamp for the title under the focal picture. Notice the little doodad symbols on either side of "An Enchanted Evening"- those stamps are in the kit, too! Then I even stamped on the pictures with white ink.

On the second layout, I used some of the speaking bubbles that came with the kit along with some phrases. I thought that gave it a fun, playful look.

I also used the stamps on the orange border, and for the little phrases matted in green. There are a lot of words to choose from. Finally, I stamped "Boo" in white to give a ghostly feel.

I'm on TV- QVC!

I just got in these new products from Memories Direct. They will be featured on their show on QVC on September 23rd. My job is to show how they can be used in different ways. The first product is paper lace. This is just like it sounds, lace made out of paper. It is intricetly cut and is self-adhesive, so you don't have to worry about how you're going to adhere something so delicate. It can be used in lots of ways. I'm showing it first here on this wedding layout.

The gold strip spells out "Best Wishes". It adds elegance to the pages. Also, around the photo, the white delicate frame is made from two different styles. On the top, you'll notice the wedding bells. I actually made them from strips of paper lace as well.

Can you see the detail and dimension that the lace adds? I also added a couple folds of it on the side of the picture like you might do with ribbon. I didn't take the adhesive off of this one so the loop wouldn't stick together. I added pearls in the middle instead of brads.

It makes a nice detail.

On the second layout, I used the paper lace around the outside border, just tucking it in under the seam. It also highlights the focal picture as a frame.

The strip of pink paper lace on the ribbon along the bottom reads "Happy Birthday". There is also a paper lace strip behind the top picture and to add something special to the tag.

The pack comes with 32 rolls of lace with almost 40" of each style. There are a wide variety of colors and styles. Check back soon to see more!
